Simple Rules & Easy Forms

You qualify for a Thoroughbred Health Savings Account if you are enrolled in a qualified high-deductible health plan (HDHP).

Both you and your employer may contribute money to your account. The total contribution allowed in 2009 by you and your employer combined may equal the full amount of your deductible in your HDHP up to a maximum of $3,000 on an individual policy or $5,950 on a family policy.  You may also contribute an additional catch up contribution of $1,000 if you are age 55 or older and not enrolled in Medicare.

The total contribution allowed in 2010 by you and your employer combined may equal the full amount of your deductible in your HDHP up to a maximum of $3,050 on an individual policy or $6,150 on a family policy. You may also contribute an additional catch up contribution of $1,000 if you are age 55 or older and not enrolled in Medicare.

Access your account balance and your last 60 days transactions with Online Banking.  Check images for the past 60 days are also available.

Pay your medical expenses directly to your health care provider with the VISA Check Card or by writing a check, without added per transaction fees.

Make periodic deposits by mailing us a check with your deposit slip, or set up automatic contributions from your checking account. We will mail you a monthly statement via USPS or e-mail documenting all deposits and disbursements.  Annually, we will provide you IRS form 5498 to document interest earnings, contributions, and disbursements.
